Okay good Ruth… Your original master design has bold spaces with the large black dot in the small little dots. The selection you chose shows me that you have a good sense of design with the two large dots anchoring the edges of the frame while the three smaller dots float between them. My only suggestion would be to have used a perfect square selection instead of a rectangle that way the grid would work symmetrically both left to right and top to bottom.
